It took me a while to convert from Team Blackberry to the iPhone. I was holding on for dear life. Then my battery kept dying in my Berry no matter how much I charged it and I gave in to the curiosity and got the iPhone.PhoneApp

I have to say, my favorite part about the phone are all of the apps that are available. So many of them I couldn’t get on the Berry. I have had to delete and re-arrange my apps so many times because I get so many that I have no memory left on my phone. Here’s a list of the ones that made the cut:

I shop here WAY too much. I only added to my addiction and became my own enabler when I got the app on  my phone. At one point, I was at LEAST doing an order a week. I had to give myself an intervention and scale back!

Ab Workouts

After having two babies, my biggest fitness goal is working on my belly. I have a little tummy left from having my daughter. I got this app and I’m loving what it has to offer. So many different workouts. Here’s hoping it will help me get those chiseled abs. I did say “hoping”. If all else fails, I can just get one of these.

White Noise

When putting our kids to bed at night we have a little white noise going in their room. Since they share a room, it helps to keep my son from being too distracted when his sister wakes up in the middle of the night. When I’m getting her ready for bed at night, I turn on this app. It has the same sounds as what’s playing in their room. It lulls her right off to sleep. Love that.

PBS Kids

My son is crazy about “PDS Kids”. He says it’s his favorite channel. So, when we’re out somewhere where and we get stuck in a long wait, we open this app to keep him busy. It’s cool because it’s PBS so he’s still learning something in the process.

I don’t have an actual Kindle so I love that you’re able to download it to your computer or use the app on your phone. I have a few books I’ve downloaded that I read when I get a minute. The top pick right now is a book about discipline techniques. Trust me when I tell you this three year old stuff is no joke! Trying to find other ways to get through to my little man when needed. Pray my strength.

If you can’t tell by now, my phone pretty much belongs to my kids. This app has a few pre-k games that my son get into every now and then. He always wants to watch something on my phone so I try to make sure it’s something that he’ll learn from.

Honorable Mention: Zulily
Oh my goodness. This app got me into more trouble than Amazon. I say “got” because I had to delete it. I was ordering WAY too much stuff. It was too easy y’all. The sales are fresh everyday, the stuff is so cute, there are items for mom, dad and home too. Yeah, I had lost my mind. I still get the email though. I can control my urge to splurge better that way.

What are your favorite phone apps?

  1. PS Express. A mini photoshop for your phone. You can crop, rotate and do minor toning to photos right in your phone.
    Waze for real time traffic.
    Yelp for, well, Yelp stuff.
I also have some of the kid stuff for B. PBS Kids is on there for sure!

  2. I am totally iPhone obsessed, and so is my 2 year old! She loves the PBS Kids app-especially super annoying Caillou! I’ve also had to ween myself from a Zulily addiction. The app really does make shopping too easy. Another app I really like is A Beautiful Mess for editing pictures. It lets you put in cute doodles, and write comments on pictures. Thanks for sharing!

  9. Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words
in your article seem to be running off the screen in Firefox.
I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I figured I’d post to let you
know. The design look great though! Hope you get the issue fixed soon. Cheers
