When seasons change people tend to feel wistful and hopeful. That is of course, when the seasons in question are summer or spring. These are my feel good seasons. It’s not hard to have a feel good season or two when you live in L.A. but, these are by far my favorite times of the year. Sure, people love the winter because it brings the holidays. Of course, fall is lovely with its changing hues. For me nothing compares to spring and summer. Spring makes me think of all things floral. Spring makes me thing of a re-birth, refresh and just plain new start. I suppose this is where the idea for spring cleaning came from. I’m a genius, I know. I love summer for the shedding of clothes. Dropping a layer or two feels like dropping some weight sometimes. Growing up in the Midwest my love for spring and summer began. They were the seasons to look forward to. The deadness of winter made you really appreciate the fresh blooms and daylight of the warmer months.

P.S. This topic totally makes me think of Expose’s hit song. 🙂

  1. “The deadness of winter made you really appreciate the fresh blooms and daylight of the warmer months.” …I lived in Minnesnowta for a few years and I can relate to your words!! Thank you for the memory of how nice it is when the snow melts…finally.

  2. I was reading some time ago about a believe that we all have our internal seasons, some of us are predominantly summer, some winter, some equinox and so on. I think Spring is my season, it rules.
