I’ll admit that I’ve been indulging myself during this pregnancy. Seriously, what the baby wants, the baby gets. So far, she really likes sweets. Donuts, ice cream and cookies are at the top of her list. She doesn’t mind a little banana bread either. I’m trying to be the boss of her. Really, I am. I just don’t always win. The stuff she wants really tastes good.

I want salads. She wants pasta. I don’t usually eat bread. She can’t get enough. You know who has to pay the price for her little cravings? Yeah, not her! If she gets too chunky, I’m in trouble!

That being said, there are some things you shouldn’t read while expecting. For example, a  list of extremely large newborns! I saw a link and just had to click it. Why do I torture myself with these things?!?

I just happened to stumble upon this list online and I kinda wish I hadn’t. Babies really shouldn’t be this big. At least the ones that have to enter the world through me.

Ja Michael Brown 16 lbs 1oz
Chun Chun 15.52 lbs
This baby was born naturally and weighed a whopping 13 pounds, 12 ounces! The mom delivered the baby with no drugs and no surgery. She did it the good old fashioned way. Can you say OUCH!?

Asher Stewardson 13 lbs 12 oz

There is one baby that truly takes the cake though. This little bundle arrived tipping the scales at 19 pounds!

The moral of the story: I need to stop browsing the internet.

  1. Lol that last picture is like whoa. My biggest was my son at 8lbs and I use to eat krispy kreme donuts by the dozen. Have fun and eat what you want but in moderation

  2. I craved caprese salads when I was pregnant (fresh mozzarella & tomato) RJ was a little over 6lbs. The next time, if I’m reaching for donuts, candy and ice cream I’ll be convinced it’s a girl!
I was huge! I started showing really early. I was scared my baby was going to be big. The thought of a 9 pounder freaked me out. I can’t wrap my brain around a baby larger than 10lbs.

  3. Zee was almost 7lbs when born, and I craved “man” food. Steaks like crazy. Not like I could eat them, but Mr. C didn’t mind. I say you’re good as long as you don’t have any health issues. Pregnancy is a wonderful experience, enjoy every moment of it. 🙂

  4. Gained 29 pounds. Pookah was 8 pounds 2 oz. I ate like a pig. Bacon every morning and cheesecake factory or Mexican after every drs visit. But guuurl. I saw a 10 pound baby come out of a woman the other night. NOT CUTE.

  5. See??!! This is why you shouldn’t research anything about pregnancy while you’re pregnant – there’s more stuff to freak you out than there is beneficial or supportive. It freaks me out that a baby can even get that large inside of someone. That seems incredibly unnatural.

  7. Man, I was looking at my baby yesterday wondering if she’s too chunky for her age (12.5 lbs at 3 months) but now that you have posted these pics…Cam I craved donuts and ice cream when I was pregnant. Dr’s thought my baby would be a nine or ten pounder but she only weighed 7!

  8. It’s okay to eat but in moderation. Baby’s health is still the most important thing. Those babies are cute by the way.
