This weekend went by way too fast. Friday the kids school had a field trip set up. We went as a family and had a great time at the zoo. So what it was over 90 degrees!?
Apparently the lions are no longer at the zoo. My son is obsessed with all things lion. He did not take their absence well. Sorry, kid.
Saturday is almost a blur. I know we ran errand and the like but that was all eclipsed by Zimmerman verdict. I held my breath when my husband told me the verdict was in. I couldn’t look at the TV and continued to stare at my husband for the news. When he said not guilty, I literally lost my breath. For so many reasons, this breaks my heart. I’ve talked about it before, so I won’t write a new chapter now. I feel like I am all talked out from sharing the grief with friends and family. All I know is someone lost their baby and no one is being held accountable. So, I’m praying. I’m praying for all involved.
Sunday was a big day in our family. It was our 6th wedding anniversary AND on that same day, our babies were dedicated at church. That was the perfect anniversary present.

why aren’t the lions at the zoo? Last time we went it was so hot we barely saw any animals. They hid in the shade the entire time.

Happy 6th! Five years for us. And where did those lions go?! We had a wonderful weekend on Cape Cod. Now we’re back in the 95 degrees!
