He told me to sit my butt down!

These are the instructions I received from my doctor a few weeks ago. Apparently, baby girl was trying to make her way into this world much too soon. So, the solution was to take me out of work way before I planned to leave.

Can’t do to much walking around and carrying on. I think this might be what you call partial bed rest. I am calling it cabin fever. Whatever it takes though, for my baby girl.

In this process, I’ve discovered that I may have married an angel. My husband has been doing ev-ery-thing. Cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, taking care of our son and our dog. Speaking of our dog, Lola, the diva has been sick too. Most recently, she somehow has a slipped disc in her back and this little chick has been on bed rest too! Thank goodness she’s got decent health insurance. Her being sick had just meant more work for my husband because she’d been sedated and practically helpless.

I have seriously been thinking of searching for a bed rest support group. It’s crazy to one day be fully functioning to being on straight up lock down. I’m not used to not being able to work, cook dinner, clean my house – you get the picture.

You can start forming a prayer circle now because I still have a ways to go.

  1. I will be praying for you and your family. I only experience that one time in my life after having major surgery and I read books and watched tv. For a person like you and I it is hard. Maybe do some photo projects.

  2. I was taken off work and out on bed rest with Jas. She was born 2 weeks later, 4 weeks too soon but she was good a big a healthy so I guess it was alright lol

  3. I’m forming a prayer circle by myself for you… LOL! I was on bed rest for 5 months with the twins. I could only leave the bed to go to the bathroom. It was not fun at all. That’s actually how I started blogging. Bored out of my mind searching for an outlet.

Get your rest and time will pass quickly!

  4. It really ain’t easy to just sit and laze around. But hey, it’s for you and your baby. It was sweet of your husband to do all the work at home.
