I am BEYOND over it! I am so looking forward to tomorrow for a few reasons. First, it’s the weekend! Second, this annoying royal wedding will be over!!!! I could live my whole life without ever having to hear another thing about Kate Middleton and Prince Whatshisface. I know I’m kind of a Grinch about the whole thing. I just fail to understand why we need to know EVERY.SINGLE.DETAIL leading up to the coverage of their nuptials. I don’t know why every reporter from every network all over the WORLD has to drop everything to scurry over to the U.K. for this wedding. Total overkill. I totally understand why it’s a big deal across the pond. I get that. It just seems that on our side of the water we have some sort of unnatural obsession with the royal family. Every single thing they do fascinates us. For the longest I have said nothing about it because it seems that many people are totally into it. I’ve even been told about a viewing party for the grand affair. Yes, it will be at 4am local time, but who cares! It’s the ROYALS! Yeah, I don’t get it.  Celebs are getting in on the act too. Tori Spelling is throwing a party to watch the Royal Wedding go down with friends. I gotta admit, she makes it sound fun. Just so you know, my heart isn’t three sizes too small, I do wish the couple a happy life. I hope it’s a life free from scandal and foolishness. I won’t need to be updated along the way though.

  1. I’m excited, I think I’ll pvr it. As excited as I am, I’m not losing my much needed mommy sleep over it. Oh, I have to this point managed to ignore all the hubbub just so this day wouldn’t be spoiled as overkill for me.

    • it doesn’t help that i work in media so it was ALL around me. if that weren’t the case maybe i wouldn’t have been such a grinch about it. 🙂

  2. Uh oh–I was up at 4:50 to watch Kate live the hotel & then I was up the entire time afterwards. And yes, I watched the double kiss on the balcony! 🙂

I’m more of a history buff. I have a ton of friends who are so crazy about the wedding because of the “fairy tale” of it all. To me, I watched because of the tremendous historical significance-I’m one of those that sat there watching “Oh they did this because in 1901 so & so did blank”–you know that kind of geeky stuff! lol

  3. This is why I don’t watch TV any more. Movies are fine, I need those, but everything else I can look up on line and skip all the boring he loves her she married him, he cheated, she forgave and so on and so forth.
I’m interested in people’s work much more then in their personal lives.

  4. I was so with you .. . although I DID want to see the dress. So I tuned in about 8:00 for the whole balcony deal, and saw the recap of the ceremony. And the station I was watching had a lip reader. Who said William said, “you look stunning, babe. It’s just a small family affair.” And then I was IN LOVE with the whole thing. *sigh* Just when I thought I was safe . . . 🙂

  5. I watched the Royal Wedding too….for me is more about history. I also, have a couple of friends like you…who said who cares!
