On more than one occasion strangers have felt the need to share this theory with me regarding my daughter. She’s only 6 months now and I’ve been hearing it since she was at least two months.
Looks can be deceiving. That’s what I believe anyway. Especially when it comes to my child. Even if people believe that she’s going to be trouble. They claimed she’s got that look in her eyes. Of course, I don’t believe any of that. I look at her and see my little angel. Beyond that, she’s a BABY! Why do people feel the need to look into the future and share this rubbish?
I guess that’s just not something I could see myself telling someone about their baby. I’ve never seen a baby, only a few months old, that looks “bad”. Now when they get older, yeah, I’ve seen a little something. I still don’t think I would tell somebody that about their child. Is it just me? Have you ever just seen the bad in a baby?

no, it’s not just you. somehow the word ”bad” has come to mean ”cute” when it comes to babies. i’m not one to use the term in that context. anyone with a brain can look at that adorable little girl and see she has a bright future ahead of her. if someone else makes that remark – tell em i said go to h#ll! 🙂

That’s just weird. How can someone look at that sweet baby and just proclaim she’s gonna be bad? Makes no sense and she’s supa sweet IRL too.

She is a cutie pie! I will never understand strangers…for instance a lady today called my baby a girl…then said he was a happy baby and probably slept good? Say what? How in the world would you get that if he just smiled at you. Cray-cray!
Maybe they take it mean she has a little sparkle in her eye! I’ve heard people say such things about Nia from a really young age and oh boy is she very much full of personality! I have to say your daughter is one of the cutest babies I have ever seen – she’s baby fever inducing 😉

I had the same thing happen to my kids when they were younger. I even had a stranger say I need to watch my daughter because she was gonna get snatched! Are you kidding me?

I am so sorry. People can be so insensitive! I try not to call any child bad unless I have seen them act bad! But definitely not a baby or a strangers child! People think that stuff is cute! No bueno

People are stupid, but I think usually this kind of comment is simply ignorance. Bad means good and “keep a shotgun” is supposed to be funny. Whatever. SHE IS GORGEOUS. And her face aint got nothing to do with whether she winds up behaving LIKE A NORMAL CHILD.

Your baby is absolutely adorable. She has such a cheerful expression. I can’t imagine seeing bad in her. She seems to have a twinkle in her eyes/expression, and I think some people misinterpret that as “naughty.” Too bad for THEM.

It is AMAZING how people lose their filter when it comes to pregnancy, motherhood, and parenting in general. I mean, seriously?!? I think your angel looks like a doll. Those eyes and cheeks and sweet smile are adorable. If she were mine I would have an awful hard time telling her “no.” Ha! Happy New Year to you and yours!!!

People say that about my youngest all the time.
But in her case, I see it too. And they are so right about her! But I don’t mind, she’s a little rascal that looks like an angel.. Oh well.

Hi Cam, this is crazy! First off she looks like an angel, too precious! Second, ppl have no tact! I never make unsolicited comments on children unless they are positive, that’s a soft spot. Cam, Some people don’t have any home training or morals. Thank God I was raised with them. I would never say that. But I am old school and I remember back in the day when people would say that is a bad dress you got on. I never said that but I would and will still say that is a sharp dress you got on. Your daughter is beautiful and your son is handsome and thats what you pour into them. I know you are already.
