Some things are better when you aren’t even aware of them. That’s the case with my Facebook profile picture. It’s a picture from my wedding day. It’s probably one of my favorite pictures of me. That’s odd, since my face can’t be seen in the picture. I think I like it most because I had no idea it was being taken until I heard the click.

Even though I didn’t realize the photographer was taking my picture, it looks like I was posing. I guess that’s what makes him a good photographer, huh? At the time this picture was taken, I was preparing to walk down the aisle and touching up my lipstick in the mirror. I also like this picture because my waist looks amazing! Am I allowed to say that? I wonder if I can squeeze my post baby body in that dress? My best guess is no! What’s the story behind your Facebook or Twitter picture?

  1. Great post idea from the workshop. I’ve always liked this picture of you, too! Primarily for all of the reasons you mentioned, but I also like the idea of what’s obvious and also implied. Clearly it’s your wedding day, but without your face in the shot it allows the viewer to create the moment of what’s actually happening in their minds. So yes, I would agree that you hired a great photog!
