This week, I’m linking up with Momtrends, Bon Bon Rose Girls and Glamamom for the Monday Mingle.

Mom's Nite

After having my son, it took a while for me to pull myself together. I didn’t want to leave the house because I didn’t want to miss out on any possible sleep! LOL! Then, I remembered there was a group that I had read about at the hospital where I’d given birth. It was a weekly class for new moms of babies up to four months old. I decided that this would be my incentive for getting out. When I had my son, I didn’t really have many friends entering the motherhood. It was great to have something to do every week and to be able to share with women who were in the same stage of life. I had no idea then that these women would still be friends of mine today. I’m grateful that they are.

We have all kept in touch somehow and now our children are about to turn two. Amazing! Every now and then we try to get together for playdates and a much needed Mom’s Nite Out. This Saturday was our most recent Mom’s Nite Out. We got together at a fondue restaurant for dinner. It was so much fun! I highly recommend it! We laughed, caught up and just re-connected all over again. Our nights usually last for several hours and this was no exception. Our dinner started at 6:30 and we didn’t stop gabbing until after 11:30. It was truly a good time.  Do you have a mom-fia that you get together with?

Here’s what I wore: Sweater, The Limited – Pearls, Nordstrom Rack – Tank,  Kohl’s – Jeans, Victoria’s Secret

  1. For the longest time after my son was born, my wardrobe came from whatever I could hastily grab at Target. Seriously. Thank god for Target. It served a purpose for a while there. Now I’m getting my groove on more again! But, there’s always Target if needed.

  2. My kids are older now, but when they were young, I loved the mommy and me classes for both the child entertainment but also for the adult friendships that were formed. How cool that two years later you are all still finding time to hang out as a group.

  3. Yep, I do have a Momfia {love that}! Actually a group of gals I met in my birthing class of all things. We all emailed when our babies were born, and got together for a 1st birthday party. Some of us have faded from the group, but a few of us are still tight. It’s a nice, easy friendship because we all have kids the same age, so we certainly have something in common. Those gals are so dear to me, don’t know what I would’ve done without them sometimes.

  4. No mommy group here. I wish there had been one, especially after I had the twins. Boy, did I need an adult time-out!

Love your entire outfit. The pearls are just diva divine!

  5. Owwwwwwww! You look hot. You know I get out. I think its necessary for moms to get out and enjoy some time alone. I am very blessed to have a circle of moms around me who can get out and have a good time every now and then.
