Do you ever feel like your get up and go just got up and went? I am feeling like that a lot these days. Especially when it comes to this here space. I have had at least a million things I wanted to talk about and then the need for sleep kicks in. Oh, how I need that sleep!

There are notes all over the place about things I wanted to talk about. I’m guessing I’ll get around to them at some point. Maybe.

The other place where I seemed to be in need of my mojo is at work. This is week two of me being back at work. Things have changed so much at the office and I am playing catch up like crazy. Between working and pumping, this girl is T-I-R-E-D! At some point I have to work the gym back into my routine. I don’t even see how that is going to happen! It certainly needs to happen.

Speaking of work…before I went back, I felt this huge need for a makeover. I feel like I need a new style, a new haircut and color. I think I felt like I was a new woman in many ways and I wanted to show it. I wanted to see that change. At the end of the day, I haven’t been brave enough to cut my hair. I can usually only muster up enough courage to cut a bang. As for that new style, fashionably speaking, that has to come later. We have to pay for day care for two kids now, so trust, my shopping budget is a wee bit tighter. We’ll see what I come up with.

Did you feel the need to kind of renew yourself after having a baby?

  1. Yes, I feel like I need a makeover right now. I want to look more “put together” and less “blah” in kiddo/spit up proof clothes.

I did get my hair done yesterday. That felt great! 🙂

  2. Yes!! I just recently dyed my hair. I don’t really know if I think its the kids so much but just as people we get tired of looking at the same thing and want change and that includes ourselves.

Your mojo will come back. I’m sure you just have to find a routine and get in the swing of things.

  3. Girl, your feelings are completely normal! You *just* had a baby and you’re trying to settle in to your new normal after going back to work. It’s gonna take some time, but you’ll get there. As for the gym, I’d be VERY impressed if you made your way to the gym soon with two kids, a hubby, and a career.

  4. I feel you! I did do a mini makeover with a hair cut, mani/pedi and brows. But I’m having a hard time keeping it up.
You look great, I saw your cool pic with the shades.
Don’t worry superwoman it will all come together with a little time.

  5. Everytime after having a baby, I’ll tell myself, ok…I can start fresh. New wardrobe, new hairdo, just a whole new me. Life always gets in the way and I end up looking like a bum because of the hair shedding and then I’m in a cross where my preggo clothes are too big and the pre-preggo stuff is a little tight. Argh…I just don’t have the time to focus on me!

  6. I am looking for a huge change now. Looking into boots and tights etc. I don’t know what it is but I want to look more together since having this second one. Right now I’m just looking (online) but I’m excited to finally place those orders. So I understand where you’re coming from.

  7. Your mojo will return, maybe not in the same way but you’ll get the hang of things. I wished I hadn’t played superwoman right after I had Chunks because it took me longer to feel “normal” or on top of things again. I get that “need for change” feeling with almost every season lol so I think that too is normal and I’m like you cutting my hair??? how about some highlights lol CONGRATS on getting back out there
