Recently I got an email for a Meet Up. The invite was for a charity event held at the JustFab offices. The event would be gathering dresses for teens to wear to their prom. We were asked to donate formal attire and in exchange we could get one free item from JustFab.com. Sounded like a good deal to me. So even though it was on a school night… I went.
I’m glad I did. I am already a pretty loyal Just Fab customer. I have a bag that I carry daily, I’m in love with their accessories and I even have a pair of super comfy wedge sneakers from JustFab.com. I think it’s safe to say, I like the company. This charity event just made me like them even more.
Once inside, there were fruit and veggie trays to nosh on. There was also a bar set up for wine sampling. Then there were the tables filled with JustFab items.
I handed over a bridesmaid dress I never got to wear and in exchange, I chose a mint colored bag. The color is truly one of my faves lately. It just seems perfect for the season. I also checked out their jeans while I was there. I have been eyeing them on the site and wondered if they had them long enough for me. I was assured that they do and one of the staff members found a pair for me to check out. I was pleasantly surprised. I made a note to myself to order a pair on my next order.
I met other bloggers, which is always cool. I met moms who encouraged me to take “me” time more often and we made plans to hang out. I met another woman who talked to me about entrepreneur type things. It was a productive night in that respect. I’m always down for some thought provoking conversation.
Then the Just Fab team made an announcement. They invited everyone to get just one more item! You know where I headed? Straight for the jeans! I looked for the staff member who had helped me find them before. She was busy doing something else. So, I went on the search trying to find them. Then, I looked up and she was walking in my direction holding up the jeans. She said she’d saved them for me! Sweet!!
I walked away with a pair of jeans and a new bag. Not a bad night of giving back! Love JustFab even more now.

Very cool!!!!!! Glad you had a good time and got some free stuff! Mint is my new fave, too. I have it on my nails now, and have gotten so many compliments!

that bag is cute! i ordered from this once last month. There was a deal that said when you get 50% off you 1st order. the site failed to say that they want you to be a VIP member to get the deal. I was not interested in being a member and that fine print didn’t show up until AFTER i had submitted my purchase. So i go from 19bucks to 64. Needless to say, I sent those shoes right back when they came in the mail.

Sounds like fun! Were the cameras there? Like will it be on an episode of House of Fab? I signed up with them but have yet to make a purchase- although I’m not sure why.

I’ve never heard of that but it sounds so wonderful! I definitely have some prom dresses I will surely never use again. The bag is cute! Oh, and I wanted to tell you this last time I visited – your welcome photo is so well done! People need engaging and professional looking (and non blurry!) photos like that on their blogs. So nice.

What an awesome experience. It definitely pays to give back. I’m not familiar with JustFab, but I will check them out. Looks like they have some really cool items. I try support stores that support the community.

Sounds like such a cool event. I wonder if they had one in my area. I have a ton of formal wear that I need to pass along to a worthy cause.

I never gave them a fair chance. They came too late behind shoe dazzle of which I had already grown tired of and canceled my membership. I do appreciate this event though. My hat goes off to her for this & you did come out on top. The rest of us get absolutely NOTHING for those less than attractive bridesmaids dresses 🙂

What a fantastic event!! I can imagine how happy those girls will be to get prom dresses!! Believe it or not I’ve added like 2 or 3 things to my just fab cart and never pulled the trigger smh! This makes me like them even more however!
