I wouldn’t call myself a world traveler, but I want to be. I have been to a few different countries and want to add lots more to the list. Our serious traveling hit the brakes once we had our son. Since he’s been born we kept our jet-setting inside the good ole USA. There are a few reasons for this:

  • Travel is expensive. Now that my little man is over two our ticket purchases have gone from two to three full price tickets.
  • We are not excited about traveling internationally with the babies because that’s a LONG time to be on a flight with two busy body babies.

My son does have his passport though so… we kinda need to use it before it expires. We’ll see.

In any case, there are lots of places still on my travel radar. Once the kids are bigger, I’d love to take family trips to these places. If money wasn’t an object, we’d definitely spend some time in these beautiful locales:

greece-adGreece – I have wanted to go here for a long time now. From what I’ve seen, it’s gorgeous!!! It’s such a historical location as well. I’d love to see the ruins and just experience the culture. Then there’s the food, the food!! YUM!

Africa – I’d like to travel just about anywhere on the continent. From what I hear, it’s a life changing experience. It’s definitely a must do for us.

italy-venice-gettyItaly – Heading to Italy was next on our list before baby boy. Once we found out he was on the way we kept our travel a little closer and made Mexico the go to destination. Still away but still close to home. It’s still pretty high on the list though.

London – We were so close and we still regret that we didn’t go. The hubby and I got engaged in Paris. We were there for nearly 10 days and didn’t make our way to London. We felt like there was so much to see and do in Paris so we didn’t make the trip. Now we regret it a little. It would have been great to spend a couple of days there. Next time, I say, next time.

seychellesSeychelles – My husband clued me in to this island off the coast of Africa. From all accounts it’s beautiful. It’s been said that this place is the actual Garden of Eden. I’ve seen it on television and I would love to see in live and in living color.

What places would you like to go right now, if money wasn’t an object?

  1. Oh, I hear you on the kid being too old to fly free! We still have another year before we’re four plane tickets. Yikes!

If money were no object and strangely I always thought somehow it wouldn’t be and I’d be jet-setting everywhere. And it’s sad that I may not see all of the places I want to see..that said, Alaska is my first. Definitely London and Greece and Switzerland…oh..so much.

  2. Greece, Paris, All of Italy, Egypt, Australia and my ultimate place to visit soon. Possibly for my 40th birthday is Maldives. I’m plotting…..

  3. i love this…i would definitely do an African trip and i have always wanted to visit Greece…it looks so beautiful!

  4. I love to travel as well but never seemed to have the means to travel to the places that I actually want to travel to. But, that has changed and I’ve already made a list of the places that I want to go, using Mint.com to help me save.

The first place I want to visit overseas is Africa. It doesn’t matter where but I know I want to go. Of course it’ll be trip that I’ll take without my children, but in the future and when they’re older, they’ll be right along with me.

But, here in the states, I think the first place I want to fly to is Vegas.

(and yea, I’ve never been on a plane. LOL!)

  5. Your list sounds amazing! I would love to tour Italy and Spain; go back to Paris and visit London on the way; and take an Alaskan cruise that leaves from Seattle and returns to Vancouver, so I can explore both of those cities as well.
