There are a few things I don’t get to do much of these days. Reading books and watching movies are on that list. I find myself way too busy these days to get to do much of that. The last book I read from start to finish was called “Me Too, Iguana”. It’s a book I had growing up that I now read to my kids.

me too iguanaI would really love to indulge myself in a novel or a nonfiction book of some sort. Between being with my kids and building a business, I just don’t seem to have the time. Insert sad face. Kinda.

Then there are movies. I honestly can’t remember the last movie I saw in a theater. I want to say Sex and The City 2 but ,there HAS to be something else I’ve seen since then that I just can’t remember. There HAS to be!!! LOL! My husband and I hit up Red Box or catch something on cable from time to time . That’s about the size of my movie viewing.

I was reading the summer bucket list of another blogger the other day and one of the things on her list was watching classical movies. It got me to thinking about some of my favorite movies. Some of them are classics, others are classics to me. Ha!

Have you heard of these:

What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?

  1. Imitation of Life is a CLASSIC! I haven’t been able to read as much as
I’d like. Maybe one of these days I’ll take a stay-cation and actually catch up on all the things that I’ve neglected. SIKE!

  2. Oh jeez, the only movie on that list I have ever even heard of is The Color Purple. I get to the movies occasionally, but no that much and read? I haven’t picked up a book in well over a decade. I have kids – who has time to read?

  3. Hav Plenty has a lot of fond memories for me. It was one of the very first dates, come to think of it, maybe it was our first date, of my ex husband. Even though I am the one who broke that relationship, I still have fond memories of our 10 years together. Good trip down memory lane!

  4. Taking time for yourself is so important, everyone can carve out 15 to 30 minutes daily to get lost in a great book or catch up on film. Love the classics 🙂

  5. I do not read much, except the kids books to the kids and a Chicken Soup for the Soul book at night to the daughter. I do watch a lot of movies though. Once kids are asleep, I will usually have a film on while I work!
