Hi, my name is mostly Cam or Cammie.

I have been blogging here at Bibs & Baubles for close to a year now. In all of that time, I don’t know that I’ve really introduced myself to you. I thought today would be as good a day as any to tell you some things about me. I have a little list of things (prompted partially by the Blog on Fire award) I’ve put together to give you a better idea of who I be!

  • I’m an only child – It was cool as a child, it sucks now.
  • I was born and raised in Detroit – it was a great place to grow up. Wish it was in better shape now.
  • I’m 6’1” – I know, freakishly tall to many
  • I modeled brieflyIt was a good time but, that industry has issues.
  • I love music, obsessively so. – I think part of that is from growing up in Detroit, home of Motown.
  • I know the words to just about every song on the radio – not matter how old. Again, thank you Detroit.
  • I wanted to be a singer
  • I wanted to be a fashion designer
  • I dreamed of being an on-air personality
  • I always want the “impossible” – probably because I don’t think anything is impossible
  • I got engaged in Paris – now I’m obsessed with the Eiffel Tower
  • I’m God’s girl!
  • I wanted to live in NY – L.A was my second choice but I love it now.
  • I experienced the quarter life crisis
  • I never played sports. Not ONE.
  • I’m stubborn. Directly related to the above.
  • I believe in dreams – they really do come true
  • I’m shy – for realz
  • I loved being pregnant
  • Love being a mom more
  • I have lived in 3 states so far – want to live overseas. Specifically France. See Eiffel Tower obsession above.
  • I want to learn other languages
  • I write better when listening to music
  • I love being married
  • I write for a living
  • Living near the ocean makes me really happy

Tell me something about you.  🙂

One other thing about me, I’m featured today on the super fab blog, The Yeyo Diaries. Check it out to get my take on how we make marriage work in our house!!

  1. You should have ended this post in saying, I recently discovered that I have a long lost blog-twin that will read this post and shake her heard feverishly in agreement with almost everything I have written. LOL! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Ok, I like this…I like who you be, kind of like me…ok, I’m lying. I got engaged in my ragedy dorm room, born and raised in the deep soouth, never modeled, and have several siblings! Close though!!

  3. Love learning more about you! Can’t believe you never played sports with that height girl! Guess you liked modeling better 🙂

  4. I like you even more now! I’m a Michigan girl too, but I lived on the southwest side by the lake. I’m shy too, but I loosen up a lot after I know someone for a while. I’ve lived in 4 states, but I’ve moved 20 times in my life, and I’m not done yet.

    • so you’re from the mitten too? nice. i loosen up a lot too after getting to know someone. then, i’m totally chatty cathy. how on earth did you manage to move 20 times? is that in a post that I missed?

  5. First, I am so jealous that you got engaged in Paris! Second, I am so jealous that you loved being pregnant (hated it over here). Third, I grew up in Flint. Not quite as glamorous as Detroit, but close. 🙂

    • small world. i had a cousin that was living in Flint for a minute. i think i’m the only freak that loved being pregnant.

  6. It’s nice to get to know more about you. I know a lot of bloggers that are in Michigan but there are also a lot in SoCal. Funny how you are connected to both places.

  7. You are adorable. I love that you say you enjoyed being an only as a child. But, it worries me that you think it sucks now. Argh. My boy is an only. I worry about that.

  8. Are you me? lol I write for a living but have wanted to start a blog too…good thing you did it for me. Paris…I’m trying to get my first passport stamp sometime this year.
    Only child…it’s 4 of us.
Loved being pregnant too. People will feed you and your hair grows! lol
    Can’t wait to read more.

  9. Nice to “meet” you Cam! Thanks for coming by my spot. I’ve been reading a few of your entries and I’ve now added you to my google reader, so you’re stuck with me. =)

  10. So you want to know something about me:
