This weekend, I met up with a friend. We worked at the Style Network together. We used to always talk about what we really wanted to do. I’d encourage her to go for her dreams and she’d do the same for me. It was in talking to her and other people in the office that I realized I was on the right track. It seems as if whenever someone needed to talk through a decision or share their dreams I was there. I was always on hand to offer encouragement and motivation. I had already been working on sharing that part of me on a larger scale but, I soon realized I was not just writing about it, I was living it. My friends provided confirmation for me that I was on the right track. I’m not sure they even knew it.

On September 20th of last year, we wrapped up our careers with the Style Network. It hit us all hard. Many of us though, couldn’t help but think about what this meant for our dreams. In some ways, we were being given the gift of time to really follow our passions. The president of our network actually encouraged us to do so. She stopped by my desk and told me to go home and be with my babies. We had talked many times about our families before and she knew what was in my heart.

On September 20th of this year, it all came full circle. I am now at home with my babies and pursuing something I’m passionate about – motivating other mothers. I met up with my friend who is now a full time photographer while also pursing her singing career. We hadn’t seen each other in ONE full year. Yet, here we were. She was following her passion and she was taking pictures of me for the business I’m creating to follow mine. Full. Circle.

This was us after the photo shoot was over. I was a bit sweaty because we had been walking all over downtown trying to figure out how to get back into the garage where we had parked our cars. When we finished our shoot, the garage was locked. Luckily we found someone to help us out. Not before schlepping around downtown L.A. for 20 minutes or so.

Sept 22 110The moment of where we started and where we are now wasn’t lost on us. I’m pouring out post after post to keep mamas motivated and inspired on the way to their dreams on Camesha Gosha and she’s a part of making it happen. Soon, they’ll be a re-design taking place on that site and I’ll be offering products and programs to help mamas on the journey to their dreams. Why? I’ve checked a few things off my list since becoming a mom and I’m living proof that our dreams are possible. Plus, we’re so worth it!  If you haven’t already, download my free guide for rocking mommyhood + your dreams!

Be encouraged, ladies! You can do this.

When was your last full circle moment?

  1. I love reading stories like this about people who have come full circle. I remember when I had to stop working because my kids were sick- now I’m pursuing my real dream of being a writer.

  2. This is so amazing! I guess my full circle moment was when I applied for my dream company and didn’t get a job offer than after blogging for a while that same company asked me to cover some events they were hosting! I guess I got to work for my dream company on my own! That’s what I love about blogging, it’s helping my dreams become a reality <3

  3. I’m so happy that you’re getting to materialse your dreams and make things happen for you even after you’ve become a momma. You go girl!

  4. I only have a silly full-circle moment for you – hope you don’t mind. When I first came to London in April, when I wasn’t sure if it would be a move or I’d have to go back to Spain, I booked a room with my best friend in Belsize Park. I fell in love with the area, but after that week, I spent a week in Leicestershire, a week in west London, a week in Streatham, two weeks in Crouch End – I kept flathunting all over the place, thinking Belsize Park was a lost cause. Then I found a host family in Hampstead Heath, and decided to narrow my flathunting search to NW3…and it actually worked out. And last night, I was going through photos from that first week in London, and I found, I kid you not, a photo of the building where I’m living now. 😀
