Becoming a mother has taught me a lot about myself and really about life. It’s pretty cool to see life through the eyes of my babies! They see things I’d walk right past. As awesome as it is to be a mom, I was not ready. I don’t think anyone is. In many cases, I think people let me walk into it blindly a little. Here is a little advice for first time mums before you go on this crazy ride!
Fake it!
You will feel like you have no idea what you are doing – a lot! But it’s true, because you don’t. Your child has no idea though. As long as you seem confident in what you are doing your kids will think you are the expert! So what if their diaper is on backwards. You put it on with authority! In their eyes, mom rocks!
Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff
Don’t get too caught up in the house not being the same. My living room looks like a day care. I’m OK with it. The laundry may be piling up. The dishes are out of control. Eh, it happens. Enjoy your children. They grow way too fast. If you can, hire someone to help out around the house. Do what you can and don’t stress the rest. Spending one on one time with the kids is WAY more important.

Very true! Especially about the asking for help part. We also have to know when to cry Uncle (or Auntie) and ask for help for sure. They will only be kids for a moment, so take every day in stride.

You will be fine, keep your own standards, we cannot always live up to someone else’s expectations. They may not even be realistic I cancel the first statement you are doing fine.

Yes. I have finally come to agree that outsourcing things that I don’t want to do( cleaning) is the way to go. I refuse to spend time stressing over it!
