Recently, I was allowed to go back in time. I got a little something in the mail that made memories of my childhood come flooding back. I’m talking about Saturday mornings, planted in front of the TV watching my favorite cartoons. One of those cartoons happened to be the Jackson 5! As a child of the 80’s, who was in love with Michael Jackson, this was serious must see TV.

photo (5)I got the DVD’s in the mail and I was a little giddy. I was anxious to see the cartoons that I remembered growing up. I was also looking forward to the reaction of a certain little person in my house. He saw the DVD sitting on our table and asked to watch it. So, I popped it in and waited. This child was glued to the TV! He was ALL in from the moment I pushed play. So much so that he was upset when it went off! I figured he would like it but, I didn’t expect this reaction. LOL!

He was especially shocked when I sang the songs along with the cartoon. He looked at me like, “how does she know?” Ha! I love it! The cartoon was just as fun as I remembered. Don’t believe me? Ask my son!

Take a trip down memory lane with me. One lucky reader will get the DVD/BluRay disc of the entire Jackson 5 series! Just leave me a comment below about your favorite cartoon growing up! Do you remember the Jackson Five cartoon?

Giveaway ends March 27th.

Disclaimer: I received the series for review. All opinions are my own.

  1. Too cute, your son is adorable! Can I tell you that while I loved watching cartoons like Jackson 5 on Saturday mornings, I was more in love with the little air time the group “Menudo” got in between! Haha When Menudo Says! However, I’d love to have this DVD and relive my childhood moments!

  2. This is so cute! How funny will it be if your son grows up with the Jackson 5 as his favorite cartoon?? I used to watch so many cartoons growing up I’m not sure I can pick a favorite. However, I think ‘Doug’ stands out the most. I want a Nick Jr. fanatic!

  3. Hey! Hey! Hey! Mine is Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. It was an all African American cartoon TV show on Saturday mornings. I loved it! They use to get in and out of trouble frequently. My brother also enjoyed the Addams Family.

  4. Talking about the Jackson’s five cartoons was one of my favorites too along with Soul Train. It would definitely get me out of my seat dancing and singing in my home as a child. I know your children will enjoy them also. Sometimes when the cartoon would go off I would start my own private party in my bedroom playing my 45 records on my turntable. Back in the day I loved ABC and Dancing Machine.
