Currently…

Obsessing over – Life. Between my husband’s schedule, work travel and the kids activities and stuff, I can feel a little lost in it all. There’s never really time to do what I want, need, like to do. I’m learning to take the few minutes I get and make the most of them. I’m also learning to ask for what I want. If I need a few hours to myself, I’m saying so. This could be it’s own post actually. More to come, probably.

me-time-1Working on – Answering emails. Making a list of things to do this week. I had to buy a planner. With all of the stuff and schedules mentioned above, I needed to write things down to keep it straight in my head.

Thinking about – Sleep. I need some of that. Never seems like I get enough. I need to go to a hotel by myself for two nights and just sleep. I’d probably slip into a coma.

Listening to – It Ain’t Over Maurette Brown-Clark

Drinking – Nothing. Now, I’m thirsty.

Planning – Our family summer vacation – I really want us to go somewhere this summer other than visiting our families. That’s the hard thing about living so far away. Well, one of them. When we go away we feel like we need to be going back home to see our families. The only downside of that is there tends to not be enough time to spend at home AND take a vacation elsewhere. For obvious reasons, family always wins out.

  1. since becoming a family of four, last week, I can’t stop thinking about when is appropriate to restart attending playgroups and my writer’s group. My husband is taking paternity leave so he takes AOI to playgroups but I miss going to places with her. The other day I just took her in sled just to spend few minutes alone with her.

Ahhh vacation a word I do not know last time we went on vacation was probably about 5 or 6 years ago but we are saving up to finally go on a nice honeymoon for our 10th wedding anniversary I have to blow in my brown bag thinking about getting on a plane for the first time. That’s what I am thinking about …….

  10. I feel you on the schedule thing. I mean it’s seriously hard to keep everything straight. We feel the same way about vacation time. We feel like we should spend time with family even though we feel like we want to do other things. It’s hard being away from family.

    Also, I’m thirsty right now–since you mentioned it 🙂
