We’ve creeped up on Summer somehow. You know it’s real when you hear Summertime on the radio. Yeah, I heard it today and instantly felt summer ready! Well, I’m not quite ready. There are definitely a lot of balls in the air and my kids summer camp plans are on that list. Of course, lots of trips to the park and the beach are a top priority too! They love it and so does mama!

Summer camp plans are in full swing. I just found out about Galileo and their camps might be just what the Summer ordered.

I’m up to my eyeballs in summer planning. Camps, classes (me and the kids) and vacation are on the the list of things to do and plan. I don’t even feel like I’m close. But it’ll get done. It always does. Last year the kids did a bunch of one week camps and they were perfect to expose them to things and see how they liked it and move on to the next thing.  It was like a summer activity buffet! This year, I’m looking for more of the same.

They are both really big into engineering. That’s all due to the influence of hubby. I think he is trying to make sure they both follow in his footsteps!  My daughter did a robotics Lego class and loved it! She’s made it clear that she wants to do a science camp. I can’t count how many times she’s told me she wants to go.

When I heard about Galileo camps, I was all in! The camps teach kids to create and explore through a curriculum focused on science, art and the outdoors – all stuff my kids love! Kids are encouraged to create without fear. How awesome is that? We could use that kind of freedom as adults. Ha! My kids are little creators and make things every chance they get! Galileo offers camps for kids in grades Pre-K-8th. Lucky for me, there are Galileo camps in the Los Angeles area! They are also in Chicago too, if you’re not on the west coast.

They offer some of EVERYTHING! Seriously, Galileo covers it all. I was looking over their list and they have a camp for everything my kids are interested in. They did a cooking camp last summer and Galileo covers chefology – perfection! The inventors workshop and painters studio has their names written all over it too!

This years themes include: Galileo Amusement Park, Galileo Makers: Move it, Medieval Adventure and African Safari. I’m going to see which of these works with the other stuff on our list. I know they’d love African Safari as they are both huge fans of the many animals of Africa!

If you’re in the Los Angeles area and looking for an innovative camp to send your child to, check out Galileo! They have so many options, I’m sure you’d find something that works for your kids. Of course, I’ve got a sweet deal for my lovely readers. Visit Galileo’s website and enter the code: CAMP17 for $40 per family. Win!

What are your Summer plans? Have you got any camps on your list?

  1. Wow! What a great place for kid’s camp! It sounds like tons of fun and educational as well. If only I loved closer to Chicago. lol With my daughter’s last day of school today, I’m thinking of some fun summer activities we can do to keep her and my toddler son busy!
